Let me tell you a nice story of an evil alt who stole 500 pocos in 3 days.
There was this evil alt who one day had access to about 500 pocos. He thought they could be very useful as pocos must make a lot of isks and after 3 days of transferring these pocos he was finally done. He was so wrong, even at 10-15% tax most of them were ****. So for now he just ignored them and from time to time he got a fun fight out of them.
A year+ later his poco alliance was attacked by 4 "very smart" alliances. The evil alt thought, Ohh noo, what to do

defend them or have others make the same mistake ? He set all pocos to 100% tax for at least 6-8 weeks during these wars and made about 10x more isks with them. At least until the users of these pocos would realize that the poco they started with, has been making a lot of money from them for weeks. Who checks poco taxes once they're setup. The evil alt got mails telling him about the high taxes and then would set those complainers to +5 alliance for a week to keep the news contained. All poco users were happy again, until they realized the standings were gone and they were paying 100% tax again. Now the poco users all had enough of this bulll **** and were all leaving to different systems, never to return again (many mails with tears available) !!
In the mean time the "very smart" alliances were still attacking the pocos of the evil alt, their members started to be annoyed they had to do structure bashing again and again. Not all at the same time of course, as the evil alt had set them to all kind of different times (prime time for station hugging, late at night right after most normally log off and early mornings when most still wanted to sleep). The "very smart" alliances had to buy pocos and transport them to the system, keep track of poco timers and god knows what else it takes to get it all done.
In the mean time, the evil alt was also adding 1 man corp inside the poco alliance, transferring 50-60 pocos from the exec corp to the alt corp, left alliance with the alt corp, waited for the wars on the alt corp to be dropped and sold the entire corp to people in need of pocos, while the "very smart" alliances weren't paying attention.
The result was they were planting pocos in systems that would take ages to recover from being burned, before people would use them again. Their members started to be annoyed for having to do all those structure bashing, which is bad for morale and causes internal stress. They spend billions of isks on pocos, which they couldn't spend on wars (less wars is more annoyed alliance members) and they would never get their investments back.
The evil alt made 150B+ in taxes and selling pocos, while the "very smart" alliances got ...well.... burned pocos, less wars, more annoyed members and more structures they need to defend in the middle of nowhere (as they anchored them within alliance). read Eveskunk and you'll see one of the "very smart" alliances already complaining why they have pocos 25 jumps out of the evil alts HQ.

The fun thing is, this **** aint over yet ...... will update after the next nice meta thing the evil alt is playing with, has been executed.
Lessons learned for the "very smart" alliances : Don't always think you are winning, just because you were made to believe that. Meta gaming is not for beginners.
